植物オタクです。学生時代は、森林生態学を学び、野生の樹木や草が専門で地形や地質と植物のつながりについて研究していました。卒論のテーマはモミの木の世代交代について。

卒業後は出版部門もある公園などの看板（サイン）の設計や販売をするメーカーに就職。編集に営業マン、現場監督やプロジェクトマネージャーのようなことを6年やり忙し過ぎて鬱になり退職。千葉市内の造園コンサルタントで公園の設計やキャンプ場の広報、環境アセスメント、公園ボランティアの立ち上げなどを手がけ、公園づくりの道に。

再び働き過ぎてダウンしそうになったので、心機一転、鎌倉へ拠点を移して一般の方に自然の楽しさを伝える観察会「みちくさ部」をスタート。以来、ネイチャーガイドをライフワークとしています。

2013年ごろから植物オタクなりの庭づくりを頼まれるようになり、腕利きの職人仲間に恵まれ、じっくりお話をしながら進める庭づくりを少しずつやっています。ローメンテナンスで頑張り過ぎない農家っぽい庭が得意なスタイルです。植木産地で仕入れたこだわりの樹木をご提案しますよ。

手術よりも予防を重視する樹木医でもあります。調子の悪い木があればいろいろな角度から調査して治療しますし、調子が悪くならないような植え方もお伝えしています。

I am a plant geek. As a student, I studied forest ecology, specializing in wild trees and grasses and studying the connections between topography and geology and plants. My thesis topic was about the generational change of fir trees.

After graduation, he worked for a manufacturer that designed and sold signs for parks and other places that also had a publishing division.
After six years of working as a salesman, site supervisor, and project manager, he became too busy and depressed, and left the company.
I then went on to work for a landscape architecture consultant in Chiba City, designing parks, publicizing campgrounds, doing environmental assessments, and setting up park volunteers.

After almost coming down from overworking again, I made a fresh start and moved my base to Kamakura to start the “Michikusa Club,” an observation group that conveys the joy of nature to the general public. Since then, I have made nature guiding my life’s work.

Since around 2013, I have been asked to create gardens in the way of a plant geek, and I have been blessed with a group of skilled craftsmen who have helped me create a garden that we can talk about at length, little by little. My style is low-maintenance, farmhouse-style gardens that don’t try too hard. I will propose you the best trees that I have purchased in the plantation area.

I am also an arborist who emphasizes prevention over surgery. If there is a tree in poor condition, I will investigate and treat it from various angles, and I will also tell you how to plant the tree so that it will grow healthily.
